Coming to you from Matt Zefi with B&H Photo and Video, this excellent video tutorial discusses 10 common mistakes landscape photographers make and how to fix them. Probably the most common mistake I see newer landscape photographers make is simply taking their edits too far, particularly when it comes to color. Vibrant images with colors that feel like they are popping off the screen are quite popular, but there is a very fine line between tasteful saturation and an image that is gaudy or overly artificial. When you are done with an image, try stepping away from your computer for a minute, then reevaluating it one more time before exporting; often, you’ll find yourself pulling back the saturation just a bit. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Zefi.
