HOW DO YOU USE THE READING TRACKER?

COLORING PAGE TRACKER

A coloring page book tracker is a simple and fun way to keep track of how many books you read over a certain period of time. I created this cute bookshelf that holds 42 books. Each time you finish a book over the summer, you can color in another book on the coloring page. See how much of the bookshelf you can color before school starts again in the Fall.

This free printable summer reading log is an excellent way for students of any reading level to track their progress. The incentive of being able to color in a new book might be a great motivation to get reluctant readers to finish another book.

BOOK TRACKER

If you want to detail more information about the books you read over the summer, make use of the book tracker. Each time you start a new book, enter the book’s title, author, number of pages, and the date you start reading into the tracker. When you finish the book, note the date on the tracker and then give the book a rating on a five-star scale in the rating column.

At the end of the summer, you can look back at how many books (and how many pages) you were able to read. You can also look back to see which books were your favorites. Seek out other books by those authors or books that are in a similar genre to find new favorite books.
